Declutter Your Home
With more than just your family at your home, your house will be a bit fuller meaning, it’s time to get rid of the unnecessary clutter in your home. If you have items in your home that you haven’t used in over a year – it’s time to part ways. Either throw it away, sell it or donate it to a local charity. Decluttering your house, allows your focus to be on cleaning and organizing everything for you and your guests. Also, decorating your home will be easier with less clutter in the way and less to choose from.
Do a Deep Clean
Having clutter in your home now gone, it’s time to do a deep cleaning. We recommend a deep cleaning right before the holidays because once the day comes to celebrate – you’re left with only a light clean. There will be less of a rush to clean everything before your guests arrive. It’s important to dust your baseboards and fans and even to vacuum and mop under your fridge and stove, anything that you normally wouldn’t clean day to day.
Start Sooner than Later
As we said before, the holiday season is right around the corner and we all know time does fly. From shopping for gifts, and the kids off of school to prepping for hosting the holidays, time can be stretched thin. We suggest starting sooner than later on all of your holiday preparations. This could be doing your deep clean or going through your home to get rid of unwanted clutter. This could also be getting all your holiday shopping done and wrapped so it’s ready to exchange with friends and family. The last thing you want to do is be stressed and unable to enjoy the happiest time of the year!
