Kitchen and Dining Room Remodel – WRA/NARI Award Winner
One of JM’s NARI Award Winning Kitchen and Dining Room remodeling projects.
This existing home had dated 1970’s style décor and was badly in need of a new look. Typical of homes of this era the kitchen and dining room had wall separations; creating small room sizes. JM Remodeling provided design/cad drawings for the kitchen and dining room that included cabinets, lighting and plumbing layouts. We eliminated the wall between the kitchen and dining room creating an open concept living space including a change to the elevation of ceilings in the kitchen, dining room and bathroom. The kitchen and dining room remodel consisted of many elements including insulating exterior walls, porcelain tile flooring with new pre-painted base and shoe moldings and matching window casings. For storage we installed pre-finished Maple cabinets with crown molding. Topping the cabinets of are durable Quartz countertops which contrast well with the travertine tile backsplash with glass inserts. The under mount double bowl stainless steel sink and Kohler Forte sink fixture round out the hardware. The relocation of appliances was necessary to be able to add of new dishwasher to the kitchen and dining room remodel. To brighten the look up, recessed can lighting were installed and décor series switches and outlets help control the amount of light throughout the day and night. When JM completed the kitchen and dining room remodel the home owner was left with a gorgeous new living space and the 1970’s décor was thing of the past.
