Attic Remodel and Exterior Carpentry

Attic Remodel and Exterior Carpentry

The family’s attic remodel needs were to convert the attic into living space for a special needs child. Extensive interior and exterior renovations were in order to convert the attic into 1,000 square feet of living space on the 3rd level of the home. Included in this massive attic remodel was a shingled roof tear off and replacement and flat roof tear off and replacement. We also needed to rebuild the entire Yankee gutter system, which are a integrated or “built in” gutter system that date back to the 18th century and often require frequent repair, including new rafter tails. The fascia and soffit as well as new composite/green siding were also needed on the exterior of the home. To finish things off on the inside and make things more comfortable, an electrical service upgrade was done and a high efficiency furnace and air conditioner were added. Some finishing touches included installation of new hardwood flooring, plaster repairs, and adding to the open concept feel of the attic remodel, a compact metal spiral staircase was installed to gain further access to the attic. This major attic remodel gave the parents and special needs child a bright and cheerful living environment, ready for years of enjoyment.
